Shipping Destinations & Methods
pernoire ships worldwide from Switzerland and Germany. We offer various shipping options depending on your location. The available methods and associated costs are displayed at checkout based on your delivery address.
We reserve the right to change shipping carriers at any time without prior notice to ensure reliable and timely delivery. The selection of a carrier at checkout indicates a service level (e.g. standard, express), not a guarantee of a specific carrier. Operational circumstances — including but not limited to carrier service disruptions, capacity limitations, or regional restrictions — may require us to fulfil your order with an alternative carrier offering an equivalent or higher service level.
Shipping Rates
Shipping fees apply unless a different shipping offer is shown at checkout. Where charged, they are calculated at checkout based on the destination country and selected delivery method. pernoire absorbs a significant portion of the actual shipping cost on every order. The shipping fee charged at checkout represents only a fraction of the true cost of delivery.
Processing & Delivery Times
We aim to dispatch orders within 1–2 business days. Estimated delivery times are as follows:
- Switzerland & Germany: 1–2 business days
- European Union: 5–10 business days
- Rest of the world: 2 days to 3 weeks, depending on the delivery method selected
These timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. Delivery times may be affected by customs processing, carrier delays, public holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control. pernoire is not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers or customs authorities, subject to mandatory statutory rights.
Customs Duties, Import Taxes & Fees
This is important — please read carefully before placing your order.
All pernoire products are shipped from Switzerland or Germany. Orders delivered outside Switzerland and the European Union may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, value-added tax (VAT), and/or brokerage fees imposed by the customs authorities of your destination country. Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are not included in the product price or shipping fee.
- Switzerland, Germany & EU: Our pricing includes applicable VAT. No additional customs duties or import fees apply for deliveries within these regions.
- United Kingdom, United States & all other countries outside Switzerland and the EU: Unless expressly included at checkout, our pricing does not include local VAT, customs duties, or import fees. You may be required to pay these charges upon or after delivery. The amount is determined solely by your local customs authority and collected by the delivering carrier or postal service — not by pernoire.
pernoire has no control over and assumes no responsibility for customs duties, import taxes, or any other charges levied by the destination country's authorities. These fees vary by country, product classification, and declared value, and are entirely outside of our influence.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that:
- You are the importer of record and are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations of your destination country.
- Any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other charges levied by your local authorities are your sole responsibility.
- pernoire does not refund customs duties, import taxes or other such charges paid directly to authorities or carriers, because these are not payments received by us. Any recovery must be requested from the recipient, subject to its rules and your mandatory statutory rights.
- If a parcel is returned because you refused to pay import charges, please contact us. Outside the statutory withdrawal rules, we may deduct actual outbound and return shipping costs and actual handling and processing costs, only to the extent permitted by law, and will provide an itemised breakdown. The detailed conditions, including the treatment of damage or loss, are set out in our Return & Refund Policy. The statutory withdrawal rules, including when proof of dispatch is sufficient for reimbursement, take precedence whenever they apply.
We strongly encourage you to familiarise yourself with your country's import regulations before placing an order. Your local customs office or the carrier's website can provide guidance on applicable duties and thresholds.
Dangerous Goods & Shipping Restrictions
Perfume is classified as a flammable liquid (UN 1266, Class 3) under international shipping regulations. This classification may affect available shipping methods, delivery times, and costs to certain destinations. Some regions or carriers may impose additional surcharges for dangerous goods handling.
Due to these regulations, we may not be able to offer all shipping methods to all destinations. In rare cases, shipments may be restricted entirely. If your order is affected, we will contact you to discuss alternatives.
Returns & Refunds
Under our voluntary return policy, you may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order, subject to our Return & Refund Policy. Products must be unopened, unused and in their original condition, with all seals and packaging intact. Contact info@pernoire.com before sending anything back; returns require prior approval.
Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to an error on our part. Orders shipped outside Europe may be returned only when the return shipment complies with all applicable international shipping and dangerous goods requirements. Customs duties, import taxes and brokerage fees paid directly to authorities or carriers are not payments received by pernoire and are not refunded by us. Any recovery is subject to the recipient’s rules and your mandatory rights.
Our Return & Refund Policy sets out all eligibility conditions, exclusions, promotional-item requirements, refund processing times and the separate EU withdrawal provisions. It also explains the deductions and conditions that apply when a parcel is returned after refusal of delivery, an incorrect address or non-collection.
Your mandatory statutory rights take precedence over the voluntary return conditions above. See the EU right of withdrawal section of our Return & Refund Policy. In particular, exercising an applicable EU right of withdrawal does not require prior approval. You may use our EU withdrawal form or send us another clear statement of your decision to withdraw.
Order Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking to become active after dispatch.
